#529 new to MCCEE

Posted by CanadaQBank on 28 July 2011 - 05:41 PM

Dear Ahmed,

welcome to the forum!

If you are preparing for the MCCEE, the MCCQE Part 1 or the MCCQE Part 2 we recommend a 3-6 month subscription to the corresponding QBank at CanadaQBank.com. We have found from feedback from medical students and physicians that this works best.

The key is to do the questions repeatedly, at least twice, but preferably three times. Also read the explanations very carefully. This will help you master the topics. Take a look at your exam analysis to see which subject areas you are doing weakest in, and concentrate on improving on those during your revision period.

We are confident that CanadaQBank.com is currently the ONLY test preparation service that is specific for the Medical Council of Canada exams.

CanadaQBank has developed through an extensive effort over 3300 multiple choice questions for the MCCEE, over 300 CDM cases for the MCCQE Part 1, over 350 Testlet cases for the MCCQE Part 1 and 115 cases for the MCCQE Part 2. We are confident that they are the very best questions and cases for the MCC exams.

These questions have been carefully prepared by our team of expert physicians. We have followed the guidelines set by the Medical Council of Canada, listed here:

http://www.mcc.ca/pd...lines_e.pdf.pdf
and here
http://www.mcc.ca/pd...lines_e.pdf.pdf

The questions are based on (but not limited to) the topics listed in the Medical Council of Canada Exam Objectives here: http://www.mcc.ca/Objectives_Online

The six subjects covered on these exams are: General Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Psychiatry, Preventive Medicine and Community Health.

* Our Success Rate:

I also wanted to tell you about our success rate. Medical students and physicians worldwide have been using CanadaQBank for the past two years (since 2008).

Because we offer a guarantee that if you do not pass we will give the user 3 months free extension to their subscription, we are able to hear from those who do not pass. Of the thousands of subscriptions we have had, only perhaps 10 (ten) or so people have emailed us stating that they did not pass the actual MCCEE. So we have about a 99% success rate.

A quick look at the overall users average for the QBank for the MCCEE, I see it is currently 57%. So essentially if one uses the questions in our QBank for the MCCEE and has an eventual score of say over 60%, they should pass the MCCEE. Note this 57% or 60% statistics are not 'first time' stats. They are eventual stats, that consists of all tests taken by our users, wether they are doing questions for the first time or a subsequent time.

The actual MCCEE is scored out of 500. The passing score is 250. But 33% of people fail the actual exam. So we are very proud that our success rate is so high!

Information about the scoring of the actual MCCEE is here: http://www.mcc.ca/en...e/scoring.shtml

Good Luck!
